Town Meeting
Annual Town Meeting will convene on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Oliver Ames High School Auditorium, 100 Lothrop St., N. Easton.
Warrants need to be filed with the Town Clerk's Office two weeks prior to the date of a Town Meeting. To see the warrant, please click here.
The Board of Selectmen proposed several articles related to wastewater treatment. These articles were approved on May 17, 2010 at Annual Town Meeting.
- Comprehensive Wastewater Planning & Hydro Geological Investigations
- Establishment of the Easton Sewer District
- Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System design
Wastewater Treatment (Articles approved May 17, 2010)
Article 18: Complete CWMP
- Provides Town-wide plan for 10-years
- Completion of the Environmental Impact Report
- Identification of groundwater recharge locations
- Necessary for future funding eligibility
Article 19: Establish Sewer District
See the list of properties included in the proposed district
- Wastewater Needs Areas including Industrial Park
- Ability to plan for future installation of public sewers
- No plans to construct public sewers in areas not in district
Article 20: Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System Design
- Proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Collection system for North Easton Village
- Costs repaid through Enterprise Fund
