May 27, 2011 - South Coast Rail DEIR-DEIS Town of Easton Comment Letter

March 21, 2011- The Army Corps of Engineers released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the South Coast Rail Stoughton alternative.  Public comments are due to the EOEEA Secretary by May 27, 2011. The DEIS has been posted on the Southeastern Regional Planning & Economic Development District (SRPEDD) website. 

In the MassDOT preface to the DEIS, MassDOT has identified the Stoughton family of alternatives as its preferred corridor. You can access the MassDOT notice to Reviewers and Other Interested Parties, here.

The Corp of Engineers will hold two public hearings:

  • Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 7:00 pm at Qualters Middle School, 240 East St., Mansfield, Massachusetts

  • Thursday, May 5, 2011, 7:00 pm at Keith Middle School, 225 Hathaway Blvd., New Bedford, Massachusetts
