Within the framework provided by these laws and regulations, the members and staff of the Planning and Zoning Board seeks to manage the growth of the community through promoting development which preserves large tracts of open space, preserves Easton’s remaining rural character and minimizes the long-term operating costs to the town. Part of this activity involves considering the issuance of special permits for flexible development with uses that respect the land and natural resources of the community.
