MINUTES
4/3/03

Mike Green, Jan Linehan, Jack Marsh, Del Kent, Anne Carney, Annalee Bundy,

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
White indicated that the deadline for submitting warrant articles for the annual town meeting is April 4th.
BUDGET UPDATE
White indicated that the FY’04 budget is balanced based on the Governor’s budget. More cuts in local aid are expected.
UNIFIED STRATEGY – TOWN MEETING AND BUDGET
Carney recommended that any questions relating to the town meeting or budget be directed to White so that she can stay on top of the requests and issues. The Department Heads do realize that the subcommittee of the Finance Committee will be meeting directly with the department heads on their budgets.
TOWN ADMINSTRATOR HIRING UPDATE
White indicated that we do not have an estimated staring date. She indicated that she has been named the Interim Town Administrator and will notify the employees.
LIBRARY PROJECT UPDATE
Bundy updated the Department Heads on the most recent hearing with DEP. Bundy also discussed the dangerous conditions at the entrance of the Main Street library. Trivett agreed to stop by and look at the situation.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Department Heads discussed updating the FY’04 Goals and Objectives. The consensus is to wait for the new Town Administrator before moving forward.
MERIT PAY CITIZEN PETITION - ATM
White suggested that a committee be formed to respond to the petition with the possibility of offering some type of suggestions to modify. Carney suggested that the non union employees request to have an article submitted to request modification in some way. Carney, Muscato, Nunes and Kent agreed to work together on this issue.
OTHER BUSINESS
Stone announced that the 2 year old engine has died leaving only 3 with nothing in reserves.
Muscato announced that the Recreation Department will be sponsoring a Brockton Rox Game this spring.
