Construction Drum

As part of the Town of Easton’s ongoing pavement management program, the repaving of Lincoln Street, Main Street (between Washington Street and the Brockton Town Line), and Foundry Street (section near Morse Road) will begin the week of August 4, 2014.  During construction these roads may be closed to thru traffic, however local traffic will be allowed to pass but may encounter minor delays.  Police Details will be on scene to assist and direct traffic through and around the work zones.

The first phase of work will include the reclamation of a portion of Lincoln Street and the milling of the remaining portion of Lincoln Street, Main Street, and Foundry Street.  Milling and reclamation is expected to take one to two weeks, followed by asphalt paving.  Reclaimed areas will receive a second course of asphalt several weeks after the installation of the first course.  The entire project is estimated to take approximately one month but is subject to delays from weather, as well as crew and equipment availability.

Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to the Town of Easton’s roadways.  If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at (508) 230-0800 or dfield@easton.ma.us
