Lothrop Street Paving Project

As part of the Town of Easton’s ongoing pavement management program, the reconstruction/paving of Lothrop Street will begin Tuesday June 30, 2015.  During the construction the road may be closed to thru traffic, however local traffic will be allowed to pass but may encounter minor delays.  Police Details will be on scene to assist and direct traffic through and around the work zone.

The first phase of work will be the reclamation (pulverizing) of the existing asphalt roadway, followed by grading, and then binder course paving.  Reclamation and grading is expected to take approximately one week.  After binder course paving the contractor will raise existing structures and gates to grade followed by final paving and line striping.  The entire project is estimated to take approximately one month but is subject to delays from weather, as well as crew and equipment availability.

Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to the Town of Easton’s roadways.  If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at (508) 230-0800 or dfield@easton.ma.us.
