Easton Lantern Parade
It’s time again for the much awaited Easton’s Lantern Parade!
It will be Saturday August 17th and as in previous years we will meet at 6:00pm at the Historical Society (the old RR building) on Sullivan St.
Bring your decorated lanterns and we will march from the Station to the back of the Ames Library. In case of bad weather, we’ll head to the Oakes Ames Memorial Hall.
There will be music, popcorn and soda, and face painters!
There will also be Lantern making workshops around town in the weeks before the event where children will find everything needed to decorate their lantern. If you are able to please bring an empty two-liter plastic soda bottle to decorate.
The Ames Free Library will host a workshop July 31st, 1:30pm.
The Village Toy Store will host a workshop August 13th, 1:00-3:00pm.
The NRT will have on-going workshops during camp sessions.
Look for more up-coming workshops on posters around town.
