Taxation Aid Committee

Background

On November 12, 2019, Special Town Meeting voted to adopt M.G.L. Chapter 60 § 3D establishing an elderly and disabled taxation relief fund for the purpose of defraying the real estate taxes of elderly and disabled persons of low income. On January 27, 2020, the Select Board adopted a charge for the Taxation Aid Committee to implement and administer this fund.   If you are interested in volunteering for this you may visit the Town's Volunteer Opportunities webpage to apply to serve on the committee as openings become available.

Please see the directive and application process here:  Taxation Aid Fund Application and Guidelines
