Residential Sharps Program
As a result of a cooperative effort between Town departments, the Town of Easton is happy to offer the following options for safe disposal of sharps:
Annual Collection Day
In cooperation with our Household Hazardous Waste Day vendor we will be able to accept sharps that are secured in capped, puncture resistant plastic containers. There is no fee to dispose of your sharps containers on Hazardous Waste Day.
Please refer to the Department of Public Works' Trash and Recycling page for the next scheduled Hazardous Waste Day.
Container Purchase and Return Program
Easton residents are able to purchase a sharps container from the Town. The cost of these containers includes disposal. Containers can be purchased at and returned to Fire Station 3 located at 413 Bay Road. Containers not purchased from the Town can also be returned to Fire Station 3 for a fee. Please call 508-230-0750 for a price on your container.

The Board of Health was awarded a grant which was used to help purchase a drug kiosk for the disposal of unwanted medications. This kiosk is located for the convenience of Easton residents in the Police lobby at 46 Lothrop St.
The Grant was through the 2012 Local Public Health Mini-Grant Program – sponsored by the Massachusetts DPH in association with the Massachusetts Association of Health Boards. Previously the police department only accepted unwanted medications once a year during the town’s annual hazardous waste day. Now the public can drop off unwanted medications at their convenience. Storing unwanted or expired medications in a home can be dangerous, the kiosk allows for an environmentally safe way to dispose of these items.
Drop off of unwanted medications, including inhalers, can be done 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
Please note: The Town of Easton and its employees and officials cannot be responsible for maintaining the privacy and/or confidentiality of any information which is transmitted to the Town via fax machine.
