Danielle M. Sicard, MMC / CMMC
Danielle currently serves as the Governor’s appointee for the Massachusetts Victim & Witness Assistance Board, chaired by the Attorney General, and is the Massachusetts Town Clerks Associations (MTCA) appointee to the MA Elections Task Force. Danielle has served as a member of the MTCA’s Executive Board, Secretary and Treasurer and currenaly serves as the chairperson for the Communications Committee & Mentoring Program. Danielle has presented courses at various MTCA conferences since 2013 as well as taught for IIMC Region 1 and is faculty for NEMCI’s Institute & Academy.
Prior to becoming a town clerk she was the Operations Director overseeing 4 YMCA locations, owned and operated her own business and served as the Chairman for the 1500 Volunteers at the Deutsche Bank PGA Championship.

General Powers and Duties:
The Easton Town Clerk is appointed by the Town Administrator. The Town Clerk holds the rank of department head. State law provides that the Town Clerk is the official keeper of the Town Seal and the Town's Oath Book. The Town Clerk, and both members of his/her staff, also are Notaries Public and have the authority to notarize documents signed in their presence. The Town Clerk serves as the custodian of Town records and official documents. The Town Clerk is responsible for the maintenance, preservation and disposition of all Town records. The Town Clerk is required by state law to ensure that Town records are readily available for public inspection.
Registrar of Vital Records and Statistics:
The Town Clerk also acts as the Town Registrar of Vital Records and Statistics. The Town Clerk accepts for filing and maintains records of all births, deaths and marriages that occur in Easton. The Town Clerk is authorized to issue certified copies of birth, death and marriage records, and administers adoption and record-change depositions. There is no fee for filing a vital record, however there is a fee for obtaining a certified copy of a vital record. The fee is $20.00 for the first copy and $10.00 for each additional copy (if requested when obtaining first copy). Anyone may inspect vital records (except out of wedlock birth records may be inspected only by those individuals named on the record) for the cost of retrieval.
